More About Where the Wifi's Weak
Are you looking for ways out of working 8+ hour shifts, 5 times per week for the next few decades of your life?
You aren't the only one.
Working online is more accessible than ever, and because you're selling your services at the market rate rather than being marked down by your employer, you can work less without having to reduce your budget!
Unfortunately, the education system is largely designed to funnel you into jobs working for other people's businesses that pay a percentage of your actual worth. You haven't been taught the basic necessities to create your own businesses online.
Where the Wifi's Weak's goal is to help you overcome the problems that are associated with creating online income streams from scratch.
In what ways can this site help you?
- Well-researched articles detailing how to become a participant in each area of work, from start to finish.
- Facts on my own progress in each field. All my successes and failures will be documented and available to you at all times.
- Availability to answer your questions on what to do next. My articles should cover all the bases, but if I miss something, send me a message and I can offer my advice.
After all is said and done, 10% of the money that this site makes will go to charities that develop the necessary infrastructure to bring the internet to communities that lack access. The internet is the sole reason my life has changed so completely and I would love to pay it forward.
What do I do?
I attended the University of Victoria from 2011 to 2015, graduating with a degree in Economics. Rather than taking the next logical steps and proceeding into either higher education or a career in the world of finance, I spent the next years working and traveling.
Before hitting the road, my intentions were always clear; save some money, have a couple backpacking adventures, and then get back to the real world and start up my career. As time went on, those clear intentions became less tangible. I fell in love with the freedom that I'd found, and settling back home felt more like chaining myself to the ground than anything else.
Lady Luck smiled upon me and I was hired to work as a tour guide with Life Before Work Travel in 2017 and I haven't looked back since. Unfortunately, tour guiding wasn't a year-round position, so I needed other income to allow me to continue traveling when I wasn't working.
That's where the idea for this website came up. I was tired of seeing the bullshit advertisements selling miraculous products like, "learn programming in three weeks and start making a 6-figure income in less than 3 months!". So I set out to find some real actions that I could take to make money online that the general populace hasn't been privy to.
If you're somebody that sees him or herself in a rut with your work or lifestyle, I'm going to show you just how you can turn it around.
I'm not going to sugarcoat it; this is all real work that requires your due diligence, especially to get it all started. Personally, I recommend holding a day job and working online on the side to start, just to ensure that you constantly have money coming in. Once your online income stream is capable of sustaining a comfortable means of living, then you can commit full-time to making it work.
